2014 - Disc Jockey
Max is celebrating his 35th year in broadcasting with 28 of those years on the radio in the Des Moines market! His long Iowa radio journey began with mornings on 93.3 KDWZ, a Top 40 station, in the fall of 1986. The format became Rock based Top 40 before KIOA 940 AM began simulcasting on the 93.3 FM dial position in 1990. Max was rehired by Midwest Communications for the afternoon show on the new KIOA-FM, eventually moving back to mornings. He left KIOA to join the new KRUU-FM, a "Young Country" radio start-up in Des Moines, where he served as Program Director and morning host for two years. In 1995, Max returned to mornings on KIOA where he continues his radio legacy as part of the Maxwell, Pam and Heather Morning Show.
