Iowa Rock ‘n Roll Music Association is rockin’ out across the state this Veteran’s Day with Richard Arndt & The Brew at Camp Dodge in Johnston. Sponsored by Mercy Medical Center, Skully Sound, Screenscape Studios, DCI Group, DMACC, Bankers Trust, and Graham Construction, Rock 4 Vets will honor the 2,000 employees at Camp Dodge with what the Iowa Rock ‘n Roll Music Association does best. Listening to live music has a universal positive impact on well-being and has been successfully used as therapy for years because it makes people happier, has an analgesic effect, and helps people feel connected – all of which are vital for mental health and longevity. November 9th Richard Arndt & The Brew will offer a little music therapy to thank the men and women stationed at Camp Dodge for their service.
Richard Arndt & The Brew are proud supporters of the US military. “We're honored to have the opportunity to rock out with some of our nation's finest this November! At the end of the day we hope they’re like, man those guys rocked!” said Richard. The Brew is a fusion of various musical styles from rock and roll to blues with a little bottle tonk thrown in for good measure. For more on Richard Arndt & The Brew, go to www.BrewLive.com.
“This event is near and dear to my heart,” commented Iowa Rock ‘n Roll Music Association’s Executive Director Cindy Stanbro. “My husband is a disabled veteran and I understand some of the challenges that come with having served.” The Des Moines Veterans Association will be at the event to share information about their services. “I want to help military personnel understand what resources they have. The VA is amazing and does so much for our Veterans,” explained Stanbro. Rock 4 Vets continues to rock across the state with concerts at the Spirit Lake VFW on November 11th and the Diamond Joe Casino in Dubuque on November 12th.
