With all the construction going on at Arnolds Park Amusement Park, the community has been eagerly awaiting an opportunity to see the progress. June 5th is that opportunity! Arnolds Park Amusement Park, Iowa Rock ‘n Roll Music Association, Okoboji Foundation, Great Lakes Chamber of Commerce, Maritime Museum, and Okoboji Tourism are coming together to host BA5 from 5-7 pm in Arnolds Park Amusement Park.
The events begins with complimentary appetizers and a cash bar at the newly renovated Pavillion in Arnolds Park Amusement Park. After a few words of welcome and a bit of mingling, guests will be invited to take the party on the road (literally) to see the new Iowa Rock ‘n Roll Hall of Fame Museum, Maritime Museum, Great Lakes Chamber of Commerce offices, Okoboji Foundation offices, and Okoboji Tourism offices.
“It’s quite an opportunity for all of us who work beside one another year-round to come together and check out the progress,” says Cindy Stanbro, Executive Director of the Iowa Rock ‘n Roll Music Association. “The Park has made some amazing strides since last fall. We are so grateful for our partnership with the Park and are excited to show off our new space!”
Stanbro says that although the Iowa Rock ‘n Roll Music Association will be operating in the new space, it won’t be near complete. The Association’s Board of Directors decided on a phased plan to be able to operate in the new space this summer while finishing their capital campaign. Renovations inside the Iowa Rock ‘n Roll Hall of Fame museum will continue through the next summer. Visitors are invited to come back throughout the summer to see more progress. BA5 is $5 per person and open to the public.
