Rock 4 Vets Giving Back in Sioux City

Iowa Rock ‘n Roll Music Association, Support Siouxland Soldiers, and Hard Rock Hotel & Casino are working together to give back this Veterans Day by producing "Rock 4 Vets" from 3-6 pm on November 11th at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino’s Anthem. All military and Veterans are invited to attend the live music event featuring The Brits, Vibe Rations, and Richard Arndt free of charge. Freewill donation for everyone else. Must be 21 or older to attend events at Anthem.

Sponsored by Graham Construction, "Rock 4 Vets" will honor all military and Veterans during the event as well as provide resources. Listening to live music has a universal positive impact on well-being and has been successfully used as therapy for years because it makes people happier, has an analgesic effect, and helps people feel connected – all of which are vital for mental health and longevity.

Iowa Rock ‘n Roll Music Association is pleased to partner with Support Siouxland Soldiers and Hard Rock Hotel & Casino to produce this new event at Anthem this year. “Support Siouxland Soldiers is an amazing organization for military families in Sioux City. They provide care-packages, support events, emergency support services and work with multiple organizations to connect resources directly to Veterans year-round. We are so lucky to have them involved!” said Iowa Rock ‘n Roll Music Association’s Executive Director Cindy Stanbro. “The team at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino has been amazing, offering their services to make this event successful. We can’t thank them enough.”

Iowa Rock ‘n Roll Music Association is producing "Rock 4 Vets events" across the state this November to provide music therapy for active and retired military men and women and raise awareness of resources they may not be familiar with. Other event dates include Merrill on November 3rd, Dubuque on November 10th, Spirit Lake on November 10th, and Burlington on November 18th.

Established in 1997 as the first state rock ‘n roll music association, the Iowa Rock ‘n Roll Music Association is a statewide 501(c)(3) organization whose mission is to preserve the legacy of rock ‘n roll music in Iowa by honoring achievements, educating youth, and inspiring artists.
