Iowa Rock ‘n Roll Music Association announces the 2021 Iowa Rocks Talent Contest Winner – The Crust

 

(Arnolds Park) - The band called “The Crust” was voted the winner of The Iowa Rocks Talent Contest Finals held during the Labor Day celebration of the 2021 Hall of Fame Induction. As the winner of the statewide Iowa Rocks Talent Contest, The Crust were the opening act for the Hall of Fame Induction Concert held in the historic Roof Garden in Arnolds Park, Iowa. The Crust hails from West Des Moines and consists of: Marshall White, lead vocals – 17, Steffen Poulson, guitar/back-up vocals – 16, Josh Snuffin, guitar – 15, Jacob Martinez, Bass – 17 and John Curry, drums – 17.

 

According to Ralph Kluseman, President of the Board of the Iowa Rock ‘n Roll Music Association, “We are proud to present the 7th annual “Iowa Rocks Talent” competition trophy plaque to The Crust.” “Their professionalism and stage presence are amazing to witness.”

As the winner of the statewide Iowa Rocks Talent Contest, The Crust also received the grand prize of recording time at a professional recording studio, Catamount Recording, located in Cedar Falls, Iowa.

 

Kluseman continued, “Our mission is to create more music and educational opportunities for all the young people across the State of Iowa. We want to thank all of the bands and their parents for their participation and dedication to making the trip to compete.”
