Inductees into the Hall of Fame Band Category
must be the musicians in the band.
To be inducted into the Iowa Rock 'n Roll Music Association Hall of Fame is to be enshrined into the rock ’n roll history of Iowa forever. Inductees are nominated from the public at large. The Regional Consultants located in the five regions of Iowa volunteer their time every year to review the new submissions along with the carryover of nominations in the database. They determine the list of recommendations from each region that is then reviewed and decided by the Iowa Rock 'n Roll Music Association Board of Directors. Nomination criteria are as follows:
-
Must be a rock ’n roll based band, radio station, deejay, recording studio, inventor, music store, manager, promoter, media representative, single artist, ballroom, club, or club owner/manager, support person who has made a significant impact on the Iowa rock ’n roll music scene.
-
Must have been formed or started at least 25 years ago.
-
Significant consideration includes opening for national acts, size of touring region, longevity, quality of music, professionalism, number of recordings and how they enhanced rock ’n roll music in Iowa.
-
Border Bands who have made an impact within the State of Iowa are able to be nominated for the Border Band Category.
-
All final decisions are made by the Iowa Rock 'n Roll Music Association Board of Directors.
Nominations are accepted at any time, but must be in by midnight on Sept. 15th every year to be considered for the following year. Nominations submitted without biography will not be considered. If the biography does not fit in this contact form, feel free to email the Iowa Rock 'n Roll Music Association office at info@iowarocknroll.com.
